  1. Eat a balanced diet rich in Vitamins and Minerals. Include foods rich in Vitamin A like Eggs, Milk, Fish, Papaya, Carrots etc. Vitamin A helps make eyes brighter.
  2. Soak cotton in chilled milk and cover your eyes with it for 15 minutes. This would help lighten the dark circles and soothe your fatigued eyes.
  3. To get rid of dark circles cut thin slices of cucumber or potato and place them over your eyes.
  4. Refrigerate used tea bags, squeeze them and place them over your eyes. This will reduced the puffiness of your eyes.
  5. Splash your eyes with cool water two to three times daily. This will freshen and brighten them up.
  6. Massage your eyes using your ring finger with a good moisturizer containing Vitamin E and K.
  7. Wear Solar shades when you go out in the sun.
  8. Remove all your make-up before you go to sleep.
  9. Throw away all your eye make-up after one year and buy new.
  10. Do not rub your eyes.
  11. Take good care of your contact lenses.
  12. If you use computer for more than 2 hours a day, take a five minutes break every half an hour to avoid straining of your eyes.
  13. Wear anti-glare eyeglasses to minimize the damage caused by usage of computer.
  14. Visit an ophthalmologist regularly.
