- Eat a balanced diet rich in Vitamins and Minerals. Include foods rich in Vitamin A like Eggs, Milk, Fish, Papaya, Carrots etc. Vitamin A helps make eyes brighter.
- Soak cotton in chilled milk and cover your eyes with it for 15 minutes. This would help lighten the dark circles and soothe your fatigued eyes.
- To get rid of dark circles cut thin slices of cucumber or potato and place them over your eyes.
- Refrigerate used tea bags, squeeze them and place them over your eyes. This will reduced the puffiness of your eyes.
- Splash your eyes with cool water two to three times daily. This will freshen and brighten them up.
- Massage your eyes using your ring finger with a good moisturizer containing Vitamin E and K.
- Wear Solar shades when you go out in the sun.
- Remove all your make-up before you go to sleep.
- Throw away all your eye make-up after one year and buy new.
- Do not rub your eyes.
- Take good care of your contact lenses.
- If you use computer for more than 2 hours a day, take a five minutes break every half an hour to avoid straining of your eyes.
- Wear anti-glare eyeglasses to minimize the damage caused by usage of computer.
- Visit an ophthalmologist regularly.
