Food For Your Eyes

We need to eat nutritious food to keep our selves healthy. There is certain specific food, which greatly helps us strengthen our vision. Eating the right food for the right purpose is very important. For all those who are suffering from vision problems eating the right diet can be very beneficial. Some important foods for the eyes are

Eggs. Yes, whole eggs contain a high  Leutein which grealy helps strengthen our vision.

Spinach Rich in iron this source is very good for our eyes..

Vitamin C, Vitamin E. These important vitamins act as antioxidants and they are also found in our eyes in high concentrations. So, citrus fruits as well as all fresh fruits and veggies all contain Vitamin C, including once again spinach!
 Broccoli, Sweet Potatoes, Avocado, Chick Peas, contain high forms of Vitamin E. It is also found  in Soybean oil, Corn oil, Canola oil and Cashews.

Most important among these is Vitamin-A, whose deficiency in children leads to dryness of the eyes, ulceration of the cornea, and in extreme cases to night blindness. Hence, foods that contain vitamin-A, when taken in adequate quantity and on a daily basis, can prevent this deficiency.

Common sources of vitamin-A are Cod-liver oil, Halibut-liver oil, milk, eggs, butter and cheese. It is also found in carrot, mango, papaya, cabbage, spinach,  etc.

Studies also suggest that taking supplements containing the above nutrients and carotenoids positively correlate with a lower incidence of these eye diseases as well

Eat well and provide the right nutrition to your eyes.
