Sunglasses A Necessity For Every Eye

Sunglasses are no longer a fashion statement any more. With the increase in pollution, dust and Ultra Violet rays, sunglasses are a very effective protection for the eyes.

Exposing the eyes to pollution and UV rays can lead to dangerous diseases like photokeratitis or “snow blindness”, cataracts, pterygium a condition wherein there is a abnormal growth on the eye’s surface, macular degeneration and some times even eye cancer.

Though there are anti-Ultra Violet rays based contact lenses available in the market, they are not as effective as Sun Glasses.

However, not every Sun Glass is an effective measure against UV. An effective Sun Glass is one that has a UV protection guarantee.

Dark glasses also do not mean that it is capable of protecting the eye against UV rays.

When purchasing a sunglass, always ensure that it has a UV protection shield for the eyes, it fits the eyes in the right way, it is not loose and it is a wrap around sunglass.
