How Eye Strain Leads To Headache

Straining the eyes for long hours can cause terrible headaches. Not only this unchecked sight can also cause lot of trouble, causing the eyes to be overworked.

Eyestrain is a major cause of Headaches. Some other reasons that cause the eyes to be overworked leading to a headache are as follows

1)    Sitting in front of the computer for too long without blinking will cause the eyes to become dry and strained out, thus leading to a headache. It is the body’s coping mechanism to deal with eyestrain. Once stressed up with a headache, a person takes immediate attention and tends to take some rest.

2)    Reading novels are books for too long works up the eye muscles, which are responsible for vision for closer objects. Constantly moving the eyes up and down the page, without blinking also causes a headache.

3)    Eye diseases like myopia and glaucoma cause pain around the temples and the sides of the head, causing one to suffer terribly.

It is very important that one take a break in midst of heavy work, wherein one is required to read or stare at something for long. Also eating nutritious food like carrots, fish and green leafy vegetables, which are a rich source of Vitamin A. They help maintain healthy and efficient eyes. Blinking eyes many times also helps moisten and relieve tired eyes.

Also, taking care to not consciously strain the eyes can make a huge difference. Eyes are the windows to your souls, and healthy eyes are a real blessing. Keep these points in mind and take every effort to keep your eyes safe.
