Rays from the computer can cause lot of eyestrain. Dry eyes are the result of staring too long at the computer.

But most of us cannot help this situation as one is required to use a computer when at work and computers do make compiling and usage of data very easy.

Here are some tips that will help you reduce eyestrain caused due to usage of computer.

1) If your screen is placed at a very high level and you have too look at it straining your neck, there are more chances of you suffering from dry eyes. The tears on the eye are most likely to dry up when the eyes are forced to look upwards at the screen for long.

2) It is important that you place your screen at 20-26 inches away from the eyes. Staring at the screen that is so close to your eyes can be very strenuous.

3) Blink as often as you can, not blinking for long causes dry eyes.

4) Choose screens, which can be tilted and can swivel around. This way you don’t have to look in one direction constantly. You can change your focus in accordance to your convenience.

5) Get filters over your screen as they tend filter out the harsh light from the computer screen.

6) You can also lower the lighting of the screen so as to reduce strain over your eyes.

Keep these points in mind and let your eyes refrain from any kind of strain.
