Driving in the night is a matter of concern for governments and travelers. According to the statistics collected by most countries, most of the accidents tend to happen in the night.
Here are some tips on how to take proper eye care while driving in the night.
- The dim lighting during nighttime causes the pupils to become larger thus magnifying any kind of focusing problems that one have. If you have a problem with your eyesight, it is very essential that you get your sight corrected, and wears glasses during driving at nighttime especially.
- Another cause of problem is “Dirty Windscreens”, as they tend to cause halos and reflections around bright light, making it very difficult to drive. It is very important therefore to clean the windscreens before driving.
- It is best not to tint the windscreens as they cause lot of problems while driving, it would be better if the windscreen is coated with a anti-reflection coated.
- Check out the wear blades on the screen, and see to it that they don’t cause scratches on the windscreen as a scratched windscreen creates problems equivalent to a dirty screen.
- If possible and to be on the safer side keep an extra pair of glasses in your car.
- Make sure the headlights are working properly.
