What Is Bacterial Eye Infection?

Infection in the eyes can be either caused by the bacteria or viruses. Whenever bacteria infects the eye a discharge of yellow color drains from the eye. This condition is known as Bacterial Conjunctivitis or Mattery Eyes or Runny Eyes.

Infections in eyes are caused either due viruses or bacteria. Bacterial infections in eyes are caused due to the presence of bacteria like staphylococci, streptococci, or haemophilus. These bacteria can enter the body from person’s own body. Places like respiratory tract, hands, legs etc. can catch infection easily. Sometimes, close interaction with the infected person can also spread the disease to you.
