Choroidal Nevus

Choroidal nevus is the condition in which a mole or freckle which appears inside the eye or on the surface of the eye. These are pigmented spots which are flat and grayish in color. Choroidal nervi are found in choroid layer of the eye.

Choroidal Melanoma:

It is the condition which happen in the advanced stages of the choroidal nevus. It is the condition of primary cancer of the eye. This develops from the choroid pigmented cells in the eye and later spread through out the eye. As these are maligant cells they are certainly cancerous. Some of the maligant cells are more life threatening than the other ones.

There are few cells of choroidal melanoma which can be dormant for most of the time and do not grow. While others grows slowly with the passage of time and can even result in vision loss. These can spread to other parts of the also and can even result in the death of the human being.

Treatment Of Choroidal Nevus:

The choroidal nevus rarely involves any treatment as they normally gets cure on their own. But in case they remain for for a longer duration of time then they require proper testing.

These testing includes ultrasound, interocular angiogram etc. Such tests check the tumors and find whether they are cancerous or not.
