Used as a remedy for conjunctivitis, opthalmia and trachoma. Boil 4 oz. of water in a bowl, add 1 oz. of flax-seed (bruised) and steep for about 15 minutes. Allow it to cool and then strain excess water and place the moist warm flax seed on cheesecloth. Place on the affected eye directly and repeat it for 3 times in a day. This helps to reduce inflammation and irritation and soothe the pain in the eye.
Used as a remedy for opthalmia, conjunctivitis and trachoma. Take 2 cups of sterile water and 3 cups of chamomile flower in a bowl and boil for 15 minutes. Cool the water mixture and strain in a sterile container. Wash the infected eye with this chamomile water with clean hands 3 times in a day. It effectively soothes and cleanses the eye and reduces itching and pain.
Remedy for conjunctivitis, opthalmia and trachoma, and are very effective in the treatment. Prepare a paste by blending 1 cup of fennel seeds with 1 cup of water and freeze this paste for about 5 hours. Early in the morning apply this paste on the infected eye, leave for 30 minutes and wash off the eyes. Allow it to cool, use cotton balls or a sterile eye dropper to drop a few drops of the mixture in the infected eye. Honey acts as a natural antibiotic and helps to soothe the eyes and effectively cures within 2 days.
Effectively treats different eye infections. Use a hot compress on the infected eye with the help of a hot cloth. This helps in killing the bacteria causing eye infection, thus preventing the spread of infection. It also helps to soothe the pain and discomfort.
