How to Apply Mascara

The purpose of using mascara is to enhance the beauty of your eyes accentuating your lashes that makes your eyes look rather ‘open’ and ‘lively’. If used properly, you can achieve the desired effect, if not you will end up looking like a clown. People usually use mascara over their upper lash line. Some people also use it over the lower lashes too. Depends on you if you want to go for either or both.

Here are some simple tips that will help you apply mascara –

Tip 1 – Do not pump the mascara brush into the mascara tube. This will dry your mascara in no time.
Tip 2 – Take the mascara brush or applicator, start at the base of the eyelashes. Wiggle the brush at the base and then curve up to the tips.

Tip 3 – Wait for 10 seconds.

Tip 4 – Keep the brush close to your lashes and blink on to the brush.

Tip 5 – Use an eyelash comb, if you have one to comb through your lashes in order to remove lumps of mascara if any and give your lashes a smooth effect.

Tip 6 – Let your mascara dry.

Tip 7 – Use an eyelash curler to curl your eyelashes. Blow some warm air from your hairdryer over your eyelash curler to warm it up. Then place your lashes in the curler, press and curl them.

Tip 8 – Apply another coat of mascara.
